  1.  Dear Shareware Vendor:

  3.  This file contains our distribution policy and information on all
  4.  products.
  5.  
  6.  Open Windows has a simple distribution policy: You have permission to
  7.  distribute our shareware in its original form as long as you:
  8.  
  9.  * identify it as shareware (with an appropriate definition)
  10.  
  11.  * leave all intellectual property (copyright) notices in place
  12.  
  13.  ..and as long as we do not request that you stop.
  14.  
  15.  That's it.
  16.  
  17.  You may archive our programs, unarchive them, include/exclude optional
  18.  files (like this one), include them with other programs on the same
  19.  diskette, and do essentially anything you want as long as you follow
  20.  these simple rules.  We want the widest possible distribution, and
  21.  don't want to stand in your way as long as you are honest with our
  22.  mutual customer.

  24.  IF YOU WISH TO INCLUDE OPEN WINDOWS' INSTALLATION PROGRAM, OWSetUp, ON
  25.  YOUR DISK OR CD-ROM, BE SURE THAT:

  27.  1  OWSETUP.EXE is in the same directory as the .ZIP file.
  28.  
  29.  2  The ORIGINAL version of the .ZIP is used.  OWSETUP will
  30.     NOT work if the .ZIP is redone with PKZIP 2xx or other
  31.     archiver.
  32.  
  33.  3. You use the latest version of OWSETUP.  As new versions of the
  34.     applications are released, OWSETUP is changed to recognize them.
  35.     An old version of OWSETUP will not install a more recently 
  36.     released application.  A new OWSETUP WILL install older release
  37.     of the applications.
  38.  
  39.  The following files MUST be included in the distribution: BAILOUT.EXE,
  40.  BAILOUT2.EXE, BAILOUT.WRI.
  41.  
  42.  You may choose to include all or a part of this file with your 
  43.  distribution at your option.
  44.  
  45.  Our normal distribution sequence is:
  46.  
  47.  1  New versions are offered to our registered users and are
  48.     automatically shipped to new users registering an out-of-date copy.
  49.  
  50.  2  New versions are posted on CIS in the WINSHARE forum.
  51.  
  52.  3  ASP distribution members are included in the regular ASP mailing.
  53.     This saves both of us money and effort; if you are not an ASP
  54.     vendor or bulletin board member, please consider joining.
  55.  
  56.  4  Then, we send copies of major revisions of software to non-ASP
  57.     vendors who have notified us of their interest.  If you are a
  58.     catalog house, send us a copy of the catalog in which the 
  59.     program appears, together with a copy of the diskette(s) 
  60.     containing the program(s) you wish to distribute; we will send
  61.     you a copy of any major updates to our software.  If you run a
  62.     bulletin board, send us a diskette(s) containing the program(s)
  63.     you wish to distribute, and your mailing address, and we will 
  64.     update the diskette and mail it back to you.
